Terms & conditions.

  • Flights are subject to authorization from the relevant aviation authorities and are fully managed by our partner helicopter operators. Scheduling is dependent on weather conditions, air traffic regulations, and operational constraints beyond the control of the heliport.
  • Each helicopter requires a minimum number of passengers for scheduled sightseeing tours (typically 4–6, depending on the operator) or can be booked privately for an exclusive experience.
  • Prices are per seat, inclusive of VAT, for shared flights or per helicopter for private charters.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except in case of cancellation due to weather conditions or operational reasons as per operator’s terms and conditions.

  • Required passenger information at booking:
    • Full name, gender, and date of birth
    • Passenger weight
    • Contact details
    • Identity card number or passport
    • Luggage weight and dimensions
  • A 48-hour notice period is required for cancellations to avoid disputes. This is applicable for sightseeing tours & transfers made through the Bel Ombre Heliport services.
  • If passengers fail to cancel or reschedule their flight at least 48 hours in advance, a 100% cancellation fee applies.
  • All cancellations or modifications must be sent via email to the booking entity.
  • Clients must confirm receipt of their cancellation/modification email.
  • For flights booked directly with the helicopter operator, please refer to the cancellation policy of the operator.
  • Check-in: Passengers must report to reception at least 30 minutes before departure. Late arrivals may result in automatic cancellation without a refund.
  • Boarding: Only passengers with a valid ticket can board the helicopter.
  • Safety Compliance: Passengers must follow all safety rules, particularly when entering restricted movement zones.
  • Helicopter pilots may refuse or disembark any passenger or luggage posing a safety risk.
  • No food, drinks, or alcohol are allowed on board.
  • Providing your accurate weight at the time of booking is mandatory. For safety reasons and in accordance with aviation regulations, a weight check will be conducted on-site before boarding.
  • The pilot reserves full discretion to adjust seating arrangements or deny boarding if the actual weight compromises the aircraft's weight and balance limits—this applies even for private flights. Boarding: Only passengers with a valid ticket can board the helicopter.
  • This policy is strictly enforced to ensure passenger safety and to prevent operational disputes at the heliport.
  • Personal photography is allowed for private use only.
  • Commercial use of images requires prior approval from the company.
  • Drones are strictly prohibited.
  • Passengers must carry an original passport or national identity card for check-in.
  • The operator must be informed in advance of any special needs (e.g., infants, reduced mobility, pregnancy, disabilities).
  • Alcohol consumption is not allowed in the lounge.
  • Smoking is prohibited inside the lounge and boarding areas.

    Yes, flight schedules are approximate and may be subject to changes due to weather conditions or operational constraints. Passengers will be informed as soon as possible in case of any modifications.

  2. Are helicopter flights available at night?

    No, flights are only available during daylight hours (sunrise to sunset).

  3. Which helicopter operators does BLOM work with?

    BLOM partners with two leading helicopter operators in Mauritius:

    • Corail Helicopters (CH)
    • Mauritius Helicopter Ltd (MHL)

    These operators are responsible for flight operations, scheduling, and safety compliance, ensuring a premium aerial experience for all passengers.

    The heliport offers:

    • The only gateway to the south, southwest and center of the island.
    • Parking and easy ground access for passengers.
  2. Are food and drinks allowed on board?

    No, food, drinks, and alcohol are not permitted on board the helicopter, in the lounge and in the general area of the heliport.

  3. Is smoking allowed?

    Smoking is not allowed in the lounge, in the parking and on board of the helicopter.

  4. Is there a dress code for helicopter flights?

    While there is no formal dress code, we recommend comfortable clothing and closed shoes for safety.

  5. What safety measures should I follow?

    • Apply sun protection before your flight.
    • Secure all personal belongings—hats, loose items, and selfie sticks are not permitted near the helicopter.
  1. Are there luggage restrictions?

    Yes, all helicopters have strict baggage weight and size limits. Details are provided at the time of booking.

  2. Can I bring a golf bag?

    Yes, golf bags are allowed, but specific dimensions apply. Please check with the operator or with Bel Ombre Heliport’s staff before your flight.

  3. Can I take photos during the flight?

    Yes, personal photography is allowed for private use. However:

    • Commercial photography requires prior approval.
    • Drones are strictly prohibited.
